Wilderness First Aid (WFA) course

Ole Miss Outdoors is hosting a Hybrid Wilderness First Aid certification (WFA) on December 18. There is online course work that must be completed before the in-person class on December 18, 2021. If you hold a current SOLO WFR certification, you can take this course to recertify.

Two WFA certified individuals are required on BSA high-adventure treks (Philmont, Sea Base, Northern Tier, Summit). Being at least 14 years old and completing a CPR and AED certification course led by a nationally recognized provider are the only prerequisites. Having basic first-aid training is very helpful but it is not a prerequisite.

Registration is through the Ole Miss Outdoors program.
