Cub Resident Camp 2009

This was another banner year for Cub Resident Camp. There were several Scout myths busted this summer with Cub Resident Camp. The Scouts got to experience things from making slime to shooting a rocket. We would like to thank all the volunteers who assisted with Camp this year. Without your participation there would have been no Cub Resident Camp. It is very exciting to see the excitement on the Scouts’ faces and we look forward to see what Cub Resident will have to offer next year.

Boy Scout Summer Camp Yocona 2009

What a great summer it has been for Camp at the beautiful Camp Yocona. This was a record setting year for Camp Yocona with camping over 700 Scouts in June. time to just have fun. We would like to extend Thanks to all the scouts and leaders that choose Camp Yocona as their camp this summer. The 2009 Boy Scout summer camp theme “Your Bridge to the Future” highlighted Camp Yocona’s dedication to remain one of the premier camps in the region. From Internet in the Administration building and new merit badges to the famous and spectacular Wednesday night campfires and the best camp food around. One leader remarked that Camp Yocona is “light years ahead of any other camp we’ve attended.” We would like to thank Mitch Johnson and J. P. Nix for their hard work at camp this summer as well as the Camp Staff.
