This flap was designated the S-8. It was the standard issue flap during the early 1980s. The red background flap had a green rolled edge and a plastic back. This flap was the first to bring back the two dogwood blossoms since the S-3. Some people call this flap the "watermellon flap" because of the green outside (border) and the red inside (background). It also goes by the "Christmas Flap" because of the red and green colors.
