Orange Ghost (S-42)
Orange Ghost Flap

The orange ghost is the 6th ghost flap in the series of ghost flaps in our lodge. The color was selected by the insignia committee at the meeting held at the Lodge Banquet on January 15, 2000. The insignia committee also voted to recommend a matching trading flap to sell at the upcoming conclave to be held at Camp Tiak, near Hattiesburg, Mississippi, in April. The orange ghost flap is different from the other ghost flaps in that this flap has the words "2000 CONCLAVE" on the lower left of the flap and the words "CAMP TIAK" on the lower right of the flap. No other ghost flap has any such lettering. Again, the turtle has the traditional red eye and the rest of the flap is a bright orange. The webmaster's thoughts on the lettering is that the patch maker made the ghost flap by the same "pattern" as the matching trading flap, probably in an effort to save money or possible they just thought the two flaps were to be identical except for the color scheme. The patch was first sold at the conclave site at Camp Tiak on April 14, 2000. There were 500 of these flaps ordered. I am sure they were sold out shortly after they hit the market.
