The "Fire Engine Red" ghost flap is the third in a series of "ghost" trading flaps designed by the lodge. (See Ghost Information Page) The red ghost flap is designated the S-31. The basic design is the same as the S-13 flap with the exception that the flap is stitched completely in red except the eye. The traditional red eye was not used on this totally red patch so the eye could be visible. The color for the eye was selected as yellow at the 1995 annual banquet. The flap was first sold in 4/97 just prior to the conclave for that year. There were 350 of these flaps ordered and they were all sold by the end of conclave that year.
