The black border standard issue pocket flap was first used in the early 1990s. It was the standard for the lodge until 1995. It was first issued with the turtle head all black but in 1992, the red eye was added to the trutle which was a return to the first lodge flaps. The flap has a hidden fleur-de-lis embrodered in the center of the turtle's shell. The flowers are dogwood blossoms and the turtle is the alligator loggerhead snapping turtle which is the totem of the lodge.
