2003 Service Flap (S-57)
2003 Service Flap

The 2003 Service Flap, designed by Dustin Smith, was made with the new, different logger snapping turtle image as the totem. The entire design was a change from the past flaps in that the year was the predominate image on the flap, the year is outlined for the first time on one of our flaps and the new turtle was facing the left instead of the traditional right. There are two “ghosted” fleur-de-leis, one in each of the upper corners of the flap. The WWW is also “ghosted” in the lower center between the words CHEERFUL and SERVICE. Again this year, each of the 47 recipientients of the service flap was allowed to purchase a second flap to make two flaps for each recipient making a total of 94 flaps. I think that 5 flaps were also put in the lodge collection to be sold later. Someone please email me the date of the banquet when these patches were presented.
