Check out this once in a lifetime event sponsored by the Order Of The Arrow "Arrow Corps". It is a chance to see one of the five most beautiful spots in the United States and help forge an even stronger relationship between the US Forestry Service and the Boy Scouts of America. This is the 2008 National Service Project. CLICK HERE to go to the official website of this super exciting event. In 2008 Order of the Arrow members from around the country have the unique opportunity to get together at five
different sites across the country for an event to remember. Chicksa Lodge 202 has selected Bridger-Teton National
Forest in Wyoming as our destination July 26 – August 2, 2008.
ArrowCorps5 is an event like none other ever hosted by the Order of the Arrow. In 2008 we embark on one of the
most ambitious projects ever undertaken by the Boy Scouts of America, and will make a true difference in the
future of our National Forests. The ArrowCorps5 project will be the largest single service project in the history
of the Boy Scouts of America and promises to inspire Arrowmen to greater service. In addition to the service
project you will participate in a full day of recreational activities to include whitewater rafting, mountain
biking, canoeing and fishing!
Space is limited and will be taken on a first come first serve basis. A deposit of $100, turned into the council
office will reserve your spot. The Lodge deadline for registration is December 14th. The ArrowCorps5 fee of $250
is due to the council office by April 15th 2008. The fee includes eight days of program, 20 meals, safety equipment,
insurance coverage, recognition items and a full day of recreation. There will be an additional fee for transportation
to the event. Chicksa Lodge will arrange transportation for all of our contingent members. Estimated fee for
transportation is $500-$600. More detail on the transportation cost will be made available by OA Fall Fellowship
in November.

The Lodge Executive Committee of the Chicksa 202 Lodge voted to extend the offering of the "Chicksa Bricks". This is to allow people to honor or memorialize special people by placing a brick on the back porch of the Chicksa Conference Center. For those of you that do not know about the Chicksa Conference Center, it is the training center that was built at Camp Yocona by the Chicksa 202 Lodge of the Order Of The Arrow to be used by the council for its training events. The building is located very near the lake and the view out the back windows or from the back porch is something to behold. This is a chance for you to place a brick on this back porch to honor someone to leave a memorial for someone that will be at Camp Yocona for many, many years to come. CLICK HERE to see some pictures of the Chicksa Conference Center and some bricks that have been placed on the front porch. DOWNLOAD an order form to order a brick to be placed on the back porch. The form for bricks larger than the basic 4" x 8" is available at the Scout Service Center. Go by and fill yours out today.
